The Academic and Core Skills Program supports learners based on their individual needs. The program helps adults build essential skills required in one of the following goal paths:
- Apprenticeship
- Secondary school credit
- Post-Secondary school
- Employment
- Independence
Our mission is to promote and enhance personal growth for lifelong learners to use at home, at work, and in the community through academic and employment-related skills in an adult-centred environment.
Learners will
- Complete goal-directed intake assessments to identify skill gaps
- Develop an individualized learner plan
- Perform real-life, task-based activities
- Demonstrate growth and progress within the given timelines
- Transition to next steps
